Get to know your team! Nothing better than knowing the girls you spend hours of the week with outside of derby! Once you learn there REAL names you'll be like "nah I like your derby name better" Everyone comes from a different background. Maybe you will be shown something you never would have thought twice about and find that you love it or are really good at it. Your derby girls will always be there for you! Maybe your having a hard time at work; relationship problems; maybe your dog isn't listening; don't be afraid to speak up. Reality of it is; is that one of the girls has been there done that. Derby girls don't judge they love to help. So never be afraid. Go out on a limb; tell em your going to have a cook out this Saturday and BYOB no derby girl can refuse a good cook out with beer! So get out there don't be a puss :)
